INTERNAL REGULATIONS AND RULES OF RESIDENCE

MIĶELIS RECREATION COMPLEX – INTERNAL RULES

  1. The internal rules of Miķelis Recreation Complex are binding for all visitors of the Complex.

  2. These rules establish the procedures for providing services to visitors, as well as safety, hygiene, and other requirements that visitors must follow. They also define the rights, duties, and limitations of liability of Miķelis Recreation Complex.

  3. Definitions used in the rules:

  4. Visitor (Client): a natural or legal person who visits Miķelis Recreation Complex and receives any service provided by the Company.

  5. Company: SIA “Uzvara-Lauks,” the owner of Miķelis Recreation Complex.

  6. Service provider: Miķelis Recreation Complex.

  7. The internal rules are designed to regulate mutual relations, ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for clients, and prevent misunderstandings, injuries, and losses.

  8. All clients, regardless of age, must comply with these rules. The internal rules are prepared in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Latvia.

  9. By using the services, the client confirms that they have read the internal rules and agree to follow them.

  10. The rules are posted at the administration of Miķelis Recreation Complex, in the hotel rooms, and are published on the website: www.mikelis.lv

GENERAL RULES

  1. The Recreation Complex “Miķelis” is located on private property.

  2. All services provided by the Complex are paid services according to the price list and can be paid by bank transfer or in cash (EUR).

  3. It is not allowed to bring or install personal movable saunas, hot tubs, jacuzzis, or inflatable attractions on the territory of the Complex.

  4. Playing music (car audio systems, speakers, etc.) is strictly prohibited at any time. Nighttime quiet hours are in effect on the Complex’s territory from 23:00 to 08:00. Loud behavior, noise, and disturbing other guests are unacceptable.

  5. Parking of vehicles is allowed only in designated parking areas.

  6. Unauthorized fires or the use of grills in undesignated areas on the Complex’s territory are prohibited.

  7. It is forbidden to pollute rooms and the territory. Guests must collect their own waste and dispose of it in containers provided for this purpose.

  8. Pets are allowed on the Complex’s territory only with prior approval from the administration. Guests are required to keep their pets on a leash, never leave them unattended, and clean up after them.

  9. Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors and in areas not designated for smoking. The fine for smoking in unauthorized areas is 150 EUR. Storing easily flammable materials and firearms indoors is prohibited. The use of pyrotechnics on the territory is prohibited. Guests must comply with fire safety regulations in accordance with Latvian law.

  10. The Complex administration is not responsible for guests’ personal belongings.

  11. Children under 18 years old may stay on the Complex’s territory only under the supervision of parents or an authorized adult. Parents or authorized adults are responsible for children’s safety in and around water. Children under 18 may swim only in the presence of adults.

  12. There is no lifeguard supervision at water bodies; therefore, guests are fully responsible for themselves and their children when swimming in the Mūsa River. Swimming is prohibited in the on-site pond near the hotel. When using services such as boat or SUP board rental, the guest must familiarize themselves with usage and safety rules and confirm compliance with a signature.

  13. The Complex has sports fields (beach volleyball, football). Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others while using these facilities and must follow safety and ethical rules.

  14. Guests using sauna services must familiarize themselves with usage and safety rules and confirm compliance with a signature.

  15. If you notice someone not following the Complex’s rules, please inform the staff.

  16. Please note that you may be photographed or filmed, and the material may be used for marketing purposes of the Complex.

  17. In accordance with personal data protection requirements, the Complex processes personal data by conducting video surveillance in public areas to prevent or detect criminal activity, protect property, and safeguard the vital interests of persons, including life and health.   18. Guests have the right to access their personal data and their rights with the data controller at the above address.

  19. It is forbidden to damage the Complex’s inventory and buildings. Moving furniture or other inventory out of accommodations, or bringing furniture from other rooms, is strictly prohibited. Guests must respect the Complex’s property. The person responsible for damage is liable for the full cost.

  20. If rules are not followed, staff have the right to unilaterally terminate services, and paid amounts will not be refunded. Staff may expel rule violators from the territory, if necessary, with the assistance of local police.

  21. The Complex’s staff is not responsible for any damage to health, body, property, or death resulting from the guest’s negligent actions. Each visitor is responsible for their personal belongings (including vehicles). If a guest causes damage or suffers losses due to ignoring rules or staff instructions, the Complex is not liable.

  22. For personal safety and peace, being under the influence of intoxicants on the Complex’s territory is strictly prohibited. Staff may refuse service to guests under the influence, and no refund will be provided for reserved or paid services.

  23. Guests have the right to seek help from staff in cases of illness, injury, etc., and request medical assistance immediately.

  24. Guests have the right to submit complaints and receive a response by email at info@mikelis.lv.

  25. It is forbidden to damage or treat inventory, equipment, rooms, territory, or landscaping carelessly. Guests are liable for damages caused by their actions, and the Complex will charge accordingly.

 

THE HOTEL

  1. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas on the hotel premises. Smoking outside of these designated areas or indoors is prohibited. The fine for smoking in an unauthorized area is €150 per incident.

  2. The hotel is not responsible for guests’ belongings left unattended. Guests are provided with individual safes in their rooms free of charge.

  3. The hotel guarantees that it will use the Client’s personal data only for the purpose of providing hotel services – accounting, marketing, reporting, and statistical purposes.

  4. Accommodation of pets in the hotel is allowed only upon prior request. This is a paid service – €15 per pet per night. Guests wishing to accommodate pets must, upon arrival, sign the rules for pets in the hotel. This document defines the rules to be followed when staying in the hotel with a pet.

  5. Payment for hotel services is made immediately – before receiving the keys and using the room. If the guest decides, for personal reasons, to leave the reserved room after a short stay, no refund will be issued.

  6. Noise is not allowed in hotel rooms or on the premises between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

  7. Invoices must be paid before check-out. If this is not done, the Client authorizes the “Miķelis” Recreation Complex to charge the Client’s payment card without the Client’s signature/approval.

  8. The Client is prohibited from: damaging, moving, or treating hotel inventory, equipment, and rooms carelessly. Any damage caused by the Client will be charged according to the loss assessed by the hotel management; behaving aggressively, violently, loudly, offensively, or otherwise disturbing other guests or staff; disturbing others with behavior inconsistent with moral norms; burning candles without prior approval or leaving burning candles unattended; bringing, using, or storing flammable objects and substances in the hotel is prohibited.

  9. Rights of the “Miķelis” Recreation Complex: to authorize the Client’s payment card to verify its validity; to impose a €50 fine if the room key is not returned.

  10. The hotel is not responsible for damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the Client’s negligence, failure to follow staff instructions, or violation of these rules.

  11. The hotel is not responsible for damages or losses caused by third parties or circumstances beyond its control. The Client must lock the room door at night and when leaving, and must not leave valuables, money, credit cards, or documents in the room.

  12. Staff have the right to give instructions regarding compliance with these rules, which the Client must follow.

  13. Hotel staff may refuse service or evict a Client in cases of: noise, obvious intoxication from alcohol or other substances, offensive behavior, violations of state or local laws, or repeated violation of hotel rules. In such cases, no refunds will be given. A fine of up to €1000 may be imposed for violating the hotel’s internal rules.

  14. The Client is responsible for any potential damages caused to the “Miķelis” Recreation Complex, third parties, or their property due to actions or inactions by the Client, accompanying persons, or guests.

  15. The Client is not responsible for damages caused by force majeure.

  16. If the room is double, it is intended for 2 persons only, unless an additional bed was booked in advance.

  17. Hotel guests may receive visitors in the room until 11:00 PM. After that, a surcharge of €20 per person applies.

  18. Payment by bank transfer requires a guarantee letter, including a guarantee to pay the hotel invoice and information such as: company or individual details (name, registration number or personal ID, address, bank details, contact person, phone number), and details of the rooms, number of guests, and duration of stay.

  19. Guests may submit feedback, suggestions, or complaints to the hotel administrator at any time or by emailing info@mikelis.lv.

  20. Hotel inventory (towels, glasses, TV remotes, etc.) is not for taking home. It is rented, not gifted, and remains hotel property.

  21. Furniture in the room must not be rearranged.

  22. Room keys must be returned to the reception upon check-out.

  23. By registering for hotel services, the Client confirms that they have read these rules and accept the obligations contained herein, by presenting a valid ID (passport or ID card) and signing the registration form, confirming that all provided personal data is true and accurate.

 

MUSEUM

  1. The purpose of these rules is to inform museum visitors and staff about the conditions that must be observed while on the premises and in the buildings of the “Miķelis” Recreation Complex museum: the Rural Homestead and the Antique Vehicle Collection (hereinafter referred to as the museum).

  2. Compliance with these rules is aimed at preserving and protecting the museum’s property: exhibitions and exhibits, cultural and historical heritage, works of art and craftsmanship, as well as museum inventory and infrastructure. It also ensures public order and behavioral standards within the museum’s premises and promotes a pleasant and high-quality visit experience for all visitor groups, including tenants of the museum premises.

  3. Employees of AK “Miķelis” have the right and duty to provide information and assistance to museum visitors, cooperation partners, and clients in case of problems, as well as to give warnings, call the police, or draw up a report in the event of a violation of these rules.

  4. The museum is open to visitors during working hours, which are publicly announced on the museum’s website www.mikelis.lv, on social media, and on informational stands located on the museum grounds.

  5. Outside museum working hours, the presence of visitors and other clients of museum services on the museum premises and in the buildings is only permitted during events organized by the museum or previously agreed upon with the AK “Miķelis” administration.

  6. Various events, such as weddings, filming, photoshoots, and other events, can be arranged at the museum and/or its premises by contacting the AK “Miķelis” administration. The presence of tenants of the museum premises and their visitors in the museum premises and grounds is regulated and justified in a written agreement.

  7. Meetings with museum specialists are possible by making a prior appointment with the AK “Miķelis” administration and specifying the purpose of the visit.

  8. Being in the museum exhibition or collection rooms requires visitors to familiarize themselves with these rules and purchase an entry ticket. The ticket must be kept until the end of the visit and shown to AK “Miķelis” staff upon request.

  9. Visitors or tenants (event organizers) may pay for museum services in cash, by payment card, or by bank transfer.

  10. It is allowed to move around the museum premises and buildings with strollers and wheelchairs, while handling the exhibits, exhibition equipment, and shared museum inventory with care.

  11. Group leaders are responsible for the behavior of their group members.

  12. Leaders of children’s groups are responsible for the behavior of the children.

  13. Children under 12 years of age are only allowed in the museum in the presence of adults.

  14. Adults accompanying children are responsible for supervising the children and ensuring their safety and compliance with these rules.

  15. The museum or parts of its exhibitions may be closed to the public for the following reasons: information about museum or exhibition closures will be published on the museum website and announced on AK “Miķelis” social media channels; Closure of the museum or parts of its exhibition for the reasons listed above is not a basis for reducing the museum entrance fee.

  16. The following are prohibited on the museum premises and in its buildings: bringing weapons, explosives, or flammable substances; bringing strongly odorous or dirty items; arriving in dirty or odorous clothing; arriving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, narcotics, psychotropic, toxic, or other intoxicating substances; consuming alcoholic beverages, narcotics, psychotropic, toxic, or other intoxicating substances; sleeping or sitting on museum exhibits; touching or moving museum exhibits and inventory; leaving pets unattended, allowing them to move freely, disturbing or endangering other visitors and staff, or leaving animal waste; posting posters or other notices; distributing or selling printed materials or souvenirs without approval from the museum administration; collecting funds for charity or any other purpose; conducting visitor surveys or opinion research without approval from the museum administration; making noise or performing any actions that disturb other AK “Miķelis” visitors; littering; lighting fires; performing professional photography, filming, radio, or television recording without approval from the AK “Miķelis” administration.

  17. In museum buildings, it is prohibited to: bring in food and beverages, or eat and drink (except drinking water in a closed container); move around with rollerskates, skateboards, bicycles, or scooters; bring animals, except for guide dogs (with certification proving the dog’s qualification); cross barriers; move barriers; damage (write on, stick, scratch, pull, tamper with) exhibits, display cases, information stands, informational materials, games, interactive areas, or other inventory in any way.

  18. Group Visits: Group visits take place under the supervision of the group leader. The group leader is responsible for ensuring that group members comply with these rules; for school groups, it is recommended to have one adult supervisor per 10 primary school students or per 15 secondary school students;

  19. Museum tours may only be conducted by AK “Miķelis” guides, who are museum employees;

  20. A tour guide or activity leader (an AK “Miķelis” employee) has the right to warn visitors and stop a tour (without refund) or activity if group members do not comply with these rules.

  21. Amateur photography and filming with a smartphone or camera, without a tripod or additional equipment, props, or makeup, for personal use, are allowed. When publishing photos or videos, third-party privacy and personal data rights under the General Data Protection Regulation must not be violated, and it is recommended to note that filming or photographing took place on AK “Miķelis” premises.

  22. Professional photography and/or filming for commercial purposes, using additional equipment, props, costumes, and makeup, is allowed with prior approval from the AK “Miķelis” administration.

  23. Participants in photoshoots must comply with these rules and respect generally accepted moral and ethical norms. The photoshoot location must be left clean and orderly. The organizer is responsible for the behavior of participants.

  24. In case of an emergency alarm, visitors must remain calm and evacuate immediately according to the evacuation plan and instructions from AK “Miķelis” staff.

  25. Visitors and temporary tenants of museum spaces must comply with these rules and follow staff instructions.

  26. Visitors are responsible for repairing or covering the costs of damage caused to the premises, inventory, or exhibits by themselves, their children, or their animals.

  27. Video surveillance is in place in the museum premises and courtyard, and visitors are informed through posted signs, stickers, and pictograms.

  28. AK “Miķelis” staff has the right and duty to warn about the consequences of violations, expel individuals who do not comply, confiscate items that violate museum rules, and involve authorities (e.g., police) to resolve conflicts and situations.

  29. AK “Miķelis” is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings left unattended in the museum, or to vehicles parked on the premises.

  30. AK “Miķelis” is not responsible for loss or damage caused by unattended, escaped, or freely roaming pets.

  31. AK “Miķelis” is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from violations of these rules.

  32. Complaints and suggestions may be addressed to AK “Miķelis” staff or submitted in writing to the AK “Miķelis” administration.
