FARMSTEAD

The museum was established in the 1970s, during a period of extensive agricultural land reclamation, when many farmsteads were leveled. with the support of Ivars Jansons, chairman of the “Uzvara” collective farm, buildings from several old farms were preserved.

In the Bauska region, buildings typical of Zemgale rural farms from the late 18th to early 20th century were transported and reconstructed. the Ethnographic open-air museum was first opened to visitors in 1978.

Currently, it is periodically possible to see various handicraft exhibitions at the country estate, as well as participate in our own handicraft workshops. For more information, follow us on social media, where we also announce dates of events taking place at the country estate!
